Communicate Effectively with Project Stakeholders
Regardless of your role in a project, you will need to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders in order to success. This can include internal stakeholders like your project team, senior stakeholders like your Project Sponsor, and external stakeholders such as regulators or members of the public. This course will build practical skills that you can use to identify and engage with a range of different stakeholders.
Activity based
This course explores a simulated company called Eiffel Construction, which is building a new Ocean Scape apartment complex in Wollongong. In the course, the project will experience challenges around stakeholder engagement that you will help to resolve.
By the end of the course, you will have:
- Identified project stakeholders and documented them in a Stakeholder List
- Updated a Communications Plan with tracked changes
- Drafted an email to the project team about a specific issue
- Prepared an Agenda for a team meeting
- Prepared Minutes or summary notes of a meeting with the team
- Generated a slide pack for other project teams to share a lesson learnt
- Prepared a formal email to a sub-contractor to discuss an issue
- Drafted an email to reply to a senior stakeholder to try to influence a decision
Practical feedback
The documents you prepare in this course will be reviewed by a qualified QTC Trainer/Assessor, who will provide constructive feedback before your are issued with a Certificate of Completion.
